Novelis was pleased to attend the UK’s largest recycling and waste management event, the RWM Exhibition which took place on 11th and 12th September at the NEC Birmingham.
The RWM Exhibition, which attracts 12,000 professionals from across the recycling and waste industry, provides a platform for the company to meet industry colleagues, new partners and discover world changing innovations that are shaping the future of sustainability.
For the past 27 years, Novelis has grown to become a global leader in closed-loop recycling. Novelis is the largest producer of aluminium beverage can sheet and the world’s largest recycler of used beverage cans (UBCs), recycling roughly 70 billion UBCs each year.
In the UK, Novelis Recycling has been driving the development of the infrastructure for aluminium beverage can recycling since 1990 and purchases UK-sourced aluminium beverage cans for recycling from its Warrington plant.
This year’s RWM Exhibition allowed Novelis to showcase its mission of ‘shaping a sustainable world together’ to existing customers and new suppliers by educating visitors on the many benefits of aluminium collection. Novelis’ team of metal buyers were also on hand to offer support to new suppliers who are interested in setting up and running a successful aluminium packaging recycling scheme.
