Novelis Recycling has presented some of its key suppliers with special awards to show its appreciation of their long-standing commitment to aluminium can recycling.
Novelis Recycling has presented some of its key suppliers with special awards to show its appreciation of their long-standing commitment to aluminium can recycling.
The awards were presented to ten businesses who have been working with Novelis Recycling since the company opened its used beverage can recycling plant in 1991. The list of recipients reflects the diversity of the aluminium recycling infrastructure, with scrap metal merchants, community enterprises and local authorities all receiving awards.
Presenting the awards at the Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition in Birmingham, Novelis Recycling National Manager Andy Doran said that the efforts of these companies had played a key part in the successful development of aluminium can recycling in the UK over the past 16 years and this was something the company wanted to recognize as it moves forward under new ownership by Hindalco Industries Ltd.
?Novelis Recycling may have undergone changes in name and ownership in this time, but these companies have kept faith with us, and this seemed to be a good way to thank our longest-standing suppliers for all their efforts over the years. Without their commitment to aluminium can recycling our job would have been much harder,? he said
