Problems caused by paper & cardboard:
- Present a fire risk.
- Combustible materials act as fuel in the decoater, causing the temperature to increase rapidly. To prevent a fire, or damage to the decoater, the process has to be stopped or slowed down, until the temperature returns to a safe level - delaying the recycling process.
