Premier Waste is the largest provider of kerbside recycling services in the North of England supplying around 365,0000 homes in six Boroughs of Tyne & Wear and Co Durham under the 'Kerb-It' banner.

'Kerb-It' operatives collect paper, glass and cans in dedicated recycling boxes. The materials are segregated at the kerbside and placed in high tech recycling vehicles that have separate compartments for each material. This system provides a convenient and easily understood collection service to the public and guarantees clean, marketable products that meet the quality standards of the re-processor.

Handling large volumes of metal meant some quality issues where aluminium cans were concerned, and Novelis Recycling has provided equipment for the company's South Shields waste transfer station, including an Eddy Current Separator and a conveyor.
